April 7, 2026: We removed 2025 Hypertension Guideline Update Expands Stage 1 Treatment Eligibility From 57 to 73 from our site due to an error in the calculation of the PREVENT scores. The updated version of the study was published on July 7, 2026.
January 27, 2025: A previous version of Maternal RSV Vaccine Effective in Reducing RSV Infections and Hospitalizations in Infants referenced the vaccination rate of the matched population rather than the full population. It has been updated to reflect the vaccination rate of the unmatched population. The data definitions have also been updated to reflect the immunizations codes that were considered for this study.
December 17, 2024: An earlier version of More New Nurses on Night Shift in the U.S. Compared to Other Countries listed studied shifts from 2022-2024. The text has been updated to align with shifts in 2024 which were already listed on the graphic and in the data table.
December 11, 2024: In an earlier version of More Than Half of Kids Who Tested Positive for Lead Exposure at Two Years of Age Tested Negative One Year Prior the denominator used for calculations was not clear. The text has been updated to add clarity around which patients were included in various percentages.
October 29, 2024: An earlier version of Number of ADHD Patients Rising, Especially Among Women incorrectly labeled the 50+ and 1 to 5 age groups on Figure 3. The figure has been updated to reflect the correct data.
October 22, 2024: An earlier version of Firstborn Children and Only Children More Likely to Have Anxiety and Depression Than Later-Born Children included incorrect values in Table 2. The table has been updated with the correct values.
May 16, 2024: An earlier version of Many Patients Maintain Weight Loss a Year After Stopping Semaglutide and Liraglutide stated an incorrect percentage of patients who maintained or continued to lose weight in the key findings. It has been updated to reflect the correct percentages which were already represented in the article text.
March 14, 2024: An earlier version of Opioid IV and Injection Administrations Rising in Pain-Related ED Encounters did not include all oral opioids in our definition, resulting in missing data. The article and figures have been updated to include the additional oral opioids, providing a more accurate proportion analysis of opioid administrations in pain-related ED encounters.
February 15, 2024: An earlier version of Malaria and Dengue Fever Infections Remain Uncommon in the United States included any hospitalizations after malaria and dengue fever diagnosis. The article and figures have been updated to reflect just hospitalizations associated with a malaria or dengue fever diagnosis. We also included additional data for Q4 2023 with this update.

September 8, 2020: An earlier version of the article Asthma Is Not Associated with Worse Outcomes in COVID-19 Patients investigated the impact of asthma severity on COVID-19 outcomes. Our conclusion that patients with asthma had less severe outcomes with COVID-19 was incorrect because the data included some patients who did not have COVID-19. Further analysis shows that age is a reasonable predictor for outcomes of COVID-19 for patients with asthma. We’ve updated our analysis to instead look at the effect of asthma by age group.
August 20, 2021: We changed the comparison group for Better BMI Associated with Better Diabetic Control to be patients with a BMI of overweight instead of white, male patients with no recorded BMI.
July 16, 2020: An earlier version of Figure 2 in Delayed Cancer Screenings accidentally omitted week 1 data for 2019 breast cancer screenings, which caused all subsequent values to be shifted.
July 3, 2020: Patients with Multiple Positive COVID-19 Tests was updated July 3 to clarify that the percentage of patients with a second positive test—10.1%—relates to the total number of patients with at least one positive test, not the total number of patients who received a second test.
May 13, 2020: An earlier version of Figure 1 in Obesity and COVID-19 Severity mislabeled the percent of 45-54 year olds who are not obese with unknown outcomes. It is 39.1%, not 52.2%.
